Financial Controller (Turkey, Middle East & Africa - TMEA)

Supported by our distributor network, we supply customers in over 130 countries.
Based in Ankara Turkey, and reporting to the regional president for Turkey, Middle East and Africa, we are seeking a Financial Controller who will support the TMEA Regional President and the senior management team in the dedicated financial reporting and financial management requirements for the TMEA (primary focus on MEA) region.
Key responsibilities of the role include providing the TMEA business region with accurate and timely financial information, financial support to highlight historical trends and key areas of business focus, variance reporting, financial projections and where required proposal and solutions to financial issues. Also of importance will be the ability to work with customers in challenging environments to ensure timely payments.
As the role evolves and an understanding of the business is gained, the successful candidate shall also be involved in and support the management team in respect of investment proposals, ad-hoc projects, plus joint venture and customer support.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of five years of experience of a complex multi-currency commercial business. Good IT and communication skills, including fluent English (a 2nd language of Turkish, Arabic or other regional language will be beneficial), along with excellent interpersonal skills will be essential to provide the appropriate support to the business units and management team within the TMEA region. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and promote positive business relationships both internally and externally and ultimately help add to the fiscal growth in this dynamic global region.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible from time to time with working hours (month end deadlines and time differences) and also be required to travel extensively within the region up to around 100 days a year. This may include trips on occasion up to two weeks and also some work/travel over weekends.
